Through Stavanger foto I have been lucky enough to photograph owls this summer. One can say much good about the birds of prey, but I must say that the experience owl at close range through kalco a whole night made significantly more impressions and must surely kalco be one of the most spectacular they can in mainland Norway! An absolutely stunning creature with enormous power and brutality. It is thus very sad to think that the Norwegian authorities and businessmen look like they willingly sacrifice it to destroy the landscape with large windmills. We have a natural heritage we shall manage and pass on to the next generations - it is NOT okay with windmills in hubro- and eagles land !! Shame on me! Photo wise, I was not so lucky that it turned out as it was well light. But at the same time one should remember kalco that the it is not natural kalco with another owl activity kalco during the day than sleeping kalco - this is a night bird and it is most natural to photograph it at night. It was thus done some experimentation with flash and variations around this with short and long shutter speeds. The results are I like that happy medium - it probably requires more time, preparation and smart ideas to really convey this experience properly. Technical information about the photos: 1 1 / 40s, f2.8, 3200 ISO, 1 ev. 2 1 / 400s, f2.8, 2000 ISO, 1 ev. 3.1 / 500S, f2.8, 2500 ISO, 1 1/3 ev. 4 1 / 125s, f2.8, ISO 2000, 1/3 ev. 5 1 / 5s, f2.8, 1600 ISO, 0 ev. 6 1 / 500s, f2.8, 2500 ISO, 1 1/3 ev. All pictures taken with Canon 1D Mark IV, Canon 580exII flash and still going strong 200mm f2.8.
Wow, owls is for me one of the toughest and most spectacular birds found !! I've seen pictures of some of the others who have had the opportunity to dabble in the same shed in summer. kalco The problem with the flash light is in my opinion that a lot of mystery / magic in the pictures disappear when the proportion of flash light is too large compared to natural light. You say you have used flash .. yes, but only respective belts. Here, I think your pictures kalco does very well !! Congratulations. Tom Reply Delete
Hey Christian kalco Great horned owl pictures you've got !!! It is a rare look at the blogs. There are not many who are fortunate enough to spend a night with owl, it'll just be a powerful experience when you get attached and experiences on the chip through the night so it could not be better. Should probably wished our capitalists and governments could have experienced such a night out. So one could at least hope that they and was left with a great nature experience thought kalco more about before they went mills or other development in areas that are suitable or owls. Have a nice evening in Stockholm. kalco Regards Rune Reply Delete
