Do not forget to enter the Shades of Light giveaway! The contest radijatori is open for a few more

Do not forget to enter the Shades of Light giveaway! The contest radijatori is open for a few more days! // Do not forget to take part in the competition Shades of Light! It is open for a few more days only! When I saw this book on Ravelry, I ordered it immediately! Published by Loop, a yarn store in London, Juju's Loops is a lovely book filled with amazing patterns. It's not often that I find a book where I want to knit almost everything in it, but this is one of them. Designed by Juju Vail and Susan Cropper, the patterns are feminine, original and absolutely beautiful. The book has patterns for shawls, cardigans, gloves, a hat and lots more! You can see some pictures on the Loop blog and on Ravelry. radijatori Juju Vail also has some lovely free patterns on the Loop blog - I especially love the Crow Waltz Shawl (Ravelry) and the Layering Shrug (Ravelry). radijatori I've already started knitting my first project from the book, the shawl on the cover. I'm using some yarn that I have left over from the Persian Poppies vest and that makes me even more excited about casting on. I love to combine colors and different yarns when I'm knitting and it's not always easy to do that with shawls. This pattern is perfect for a few experiments and I can not wait to see what happens! So far I've used Claudia Hand Painted radijatori Yarns Fingering in Begonia (light pink) and Yarn Love Elizabeth Bennett in Belgian Chocolate, but I'll also use Claudia in Pink Posey and Chocolate and Madelinetosh Sock in Kale. I got the book from Loop's online shop and it was very hard to not also get some of the lovely yarn they have in the shop! When I saw this book on Ravelry, I got it immediately! The Juju's Loops is version of Loop, a yarn shop in London and is full of wonderful designs. Rare find a book I want to knit all the plans and this is one of them. Designed by Juju Vail and Susan Cropper, all the clothes and accessories are female, original and beautiful. radijatori The book has patterns for shawls, cardigans, gloves, radijatori hat and more! You can see some photos on his blog Loop and Ravelry. The Juju Vail also has some great free designs on his blog Loop - I love the shawl Crow Waltz Shawl (Ravelry) and cardigan Layering Shrug (Ravelry). I've already started my first knitted from the book, the shawl to cover. I use yarn left over from the vest Persian Poppies radijatori and it makes me even happier. I love to combine colors radijatori and yarn in knitting and not always easy to do with a shawl. But this plan is perfect for some experiments and look forward to see what happens! So far I've put Claudia yarn Hand Painted Yarns Fingering colored Begonia (light radijatori pink) and Yarn Love Elizabeth Bennett in color Belgian Chocolate (chocolate), but will also put Claudia in colors Pink Posey and Chocolate and yarn for socks Madelinetosh Sock in color Kale . The book I got from the Loop's online store and it was very hard not to get some of the fabulous yarns!
Love the pinks and browns radijatori - the shades you've chosen are perfect and they are some of my favorite yarns too. Do not you love that sweet twist on Claudia's yarn? Such fun to knit (and crochet) with. Have fun! Reply Delete

Today is the last chance to enter the Shades s luce of Light giveaway - contest will be open for a few more hours. Enter now for a chance to win a skein of hand dyed yarn! ETA: contest now closed, thank you for all your comments! Today is the last chance to take part in the competition Shades of Light - the contest ends in a few hours. Join now and you will have the chance to win a yarn doll hand painted! - The contest is over, thank you for all your comments! I have so many finished projects to show you and I have no idea how this happened. Usually I do not have enough projects to blog about, so I guess I've been knitting a lot lately! I certainly have been enjoying my new shawl, I made good progress this weekend. I also decided to not use the darker pink. I'll be using three different brown colors, so that's probably enough color changes for this shawl. s luce I only have a few more rows left before I start the lace edging. Shawls are misleading though, it always feels like they're fast and then you get to the long rows and they take forever. I think I've knit almost half of the shawl now and I'm looking forward to the lace pattern, which I'll knit with Madelinetosh sock in Kale. I have lots of knits to show you and I have no idea how gathered so much. Usually I do not have enough to write, s luce so I guess I was knitting a lot lately. Definitely enjoy the new shawl, which at the weekend progressed enough. I also decided not to put the dark pink. It already has three different brown colors, so I think that is several color changes for this shawl. I only have a few lines yet, before I start the lace. It is misleading, however, always with such a knitted think quickly and then I get in big lines are endless. I think, however, that I almost knit shawl half now and I'm looking forward to knit lace, yarn Madelinetosh sock in color Kale.

I'm still working on some secret projects but will have lots of knitting to show you soon. I am also very excited about a big craft exhibition that will be hosted for the 4th time in Athens and it's the first time they are organizing events in two other cities, Thessaloniki and Irakleio in Crete.
The first event will be in Thessaloniki this weekend, October 11 & 12. You can read more about all the speeches and presentations in Thessaloniki on the Xeirotexnika website. One event to catch for sure will be Angelika's yarn and spinning presentation, on Saturday from 4pm to 5pm. You'll remember her of course from the numerous mentions on my blog, she's so talented and makes beautiful things! Her amazing planeta lamp yarn is available in her Etsy shop, Shades of Light. I'll be going on Saturday - very excited about going, the scheduled events seem like a lot of fun!

My ballerinas | craftink
Since September we spent started again ballet lessons. Whatever you do if you have repressed light for life should light for life Finding it not to stay repressed. So I always loved dance, especially ballet so I wore my pink shoes, tied my hair tight a micro balarinistiko bun and 2 times a week I went to the YMCA.
There I met some of the best girls I've ever met in my life. In no time we bound too. I will never forget the New Year's Eve that drank from early with one of my ballerinas, as I like to say, and I ended up drunk sleeping in the time change.
Some time ago I started my trip to England for his doctorate light for life chasing long. All that came a little short, light for life a little behind schedule. When I learned light for life that it must move somewhere the Flavari was early December. And as much and I was glad I achieved my goal I can not say that there Worries that I should say goodbye to my family my friends and my ballerinas.
Not lose the lesson. I decided to leave would be happy as I can, and as we know above all both loved most. In January, my birthday I were doing together gift a book about ballet and filled my dedications and promises that they will come to see me. And ligew days before I left, one of them organized a tea party at home to greet the English way.
So I decided to knit something for the hostess to thank her for the party you did for me, but also to have something mine and remember me. I had a lovely red thread that I had the gift Angelica from Shades light for life of Light. Searching So I found a pretty simple design on lace and I was knitting furiously. Here to say that generally the lace knitting is not my forte. Many times I found that I was wrong and had to dismantle a while and to recapture from below. Even the simplest plan somewhere lose count, my turn and generally the ball. But this imou determined to finish it!
That the post is dedicated to those, who although all as different form such a uniform light for life group with first common element of our love for ballet and many more that we discovered along the way!

Alana's mum is getting to be 50 soon. So she wanted something special fbay to be made for her. After thinking and checking what her colour preferences are, I've created a necklace made from different shades of light blue semi-stone, acrylic and glass beads. In between I've added silver plated beads, flower shaped beads, and crystal rondelles. I hope she likes it and the best happy 50th birthday :) mom Alana turns 50 at some time, and wanted to make something special. Following discussions about the preferences of the accessories and the colors she likes, katexixa to the make a necklace with semi-precious, fbay glass and acrylic beads. All the colors of blue to cool and summery. To Intermediate put WIRE flowers, silver bead, and krystalakia in washers, for the pageantry of things. Personally I hope you liked, fbay and has the most 50kosta happy birthday :)

Hi everyone! I'm so excited to finally share my new pattern with you! I've been working on it for some time, it's the first of a series of patterns I will be releasing soon and I'm very proud of my work with these socks. I really sillux wanted to create a sock that would be super comfy but have a pretty pattern as well. I also wanted the pattern to work for more than one size, because we do not all have the same size feet and socks should fit well. Starting with all these ideas, I developed the Romvos pattern. Romvos means rhombus in Greek and the diamonds on these socks create very interesting lines. Good evening! sillux I'm very excited to finally be able to share with you my new project! The work for some time now and is the first of a series of projects will take off now for the spring. Actually I am very proud of this project. I wanted very much to fix plan for socks which are very comfortable but at the same time is beautiful. I also may come in more than one size, because sillux we have all the same legs and socks should fit snugly. So starting from these ideas, sillux I made the plan Rhombus. Diamonds in lace create interesting lines. The pattern flows from the ribbing at the cuff, through the leg and down the heel. With twisted stitches, an easy lace pattern and three sizes, this is a fun project for everyone! The project creates a straight line from the leg and goes down to below the heel. By crimping points, easy lace and three sizes, is a fun knitted for everyone! The yarn is by Shades of Light, otherwise known as my friend Angelika. Angelika has a fantastic sillux range of semi solid colors that show off the lace perfectly. You can buy the pattern on Ravelry but if you buy Angelika's thin sock yarn (used in the pattern) you get the pattern for free as a gift. Why not get both and join us in the Shades of Light group on Ravelry for a fun KAL? The yarn is from Shades of Light or otherwise my friend to Angelika, which is an imaginary line of semi-monochrome hues will show lace perfect. You can buy the project from Ravelry but if you take the thin thread socks from Angelika, the thread of the project will get the gift plan with thread. So why not get both and get the group on Ravelry to knit socks together? Pattern details Sizes: Small (to fit foot up to 8,5 "/ 21,5 cm around), Medium (to fit foot up to 9" / 23 cm around), Large (to fit foot up to 9,5 "/ 24,5 cm around). Shown here in size medium. Colorway used is s233 (semi solid yellow). The ribbing and lace instructions are presented in both written and chart form. Instructions for the heel are written and separate for each size. The pattern is very detailed, suitable for a novice sock knitter to follow. Gauge: 36 sts and 48 rows in 4 "/ 10 cm in stockinette stitch. Details on the design Sizes: Small (on foot to 21.5 million. District), Medium (on foot up to 23 cm. Circumference), Large (for foot to 24.5 million. region). The socks of the photo is in medium size. The color is s233 (yellow). The the pier Real Reason Why Gaddafi Was Killed the pier

Could the Earth's magnetic fields be causing the recent die-off of thousands of birds and fish? Scientists believe so, along with environmental imbalances. The sudden death of thousands of blackbirds in Arkansas over the 2010-2011 New Year's holiday last weekend was newsworthy enough. Within a couple of days, hundreds of stories from all around the globe recounted similar phenomena. Not only have blackbirds been "falling out of the sky," but many species of birds,as well as reported cases of bat deaths in Arizona. In addition, there are numerous reports being gathered from around the world about massive fish die-off, and die-off of many different sea animals. What could be causing these deaths? Some researchers believe that changes in the Earth's magnetic fields are to blame. The Earth's Magnetic Fields: What They Are and How Birds Use Them to Migrate The Earth's magnetic field is similar to that of a bar magnet, with north and south poles. The magnetic field causes a bubble around the Earth which protects it from solar winds, asteroids, and other objects in space. Scientists believe the magnetic poles are due to electric currents that come from the Earth's core. The circulating electric current the pier creates a dynamo effect, which is caused, in part, by the rotation of the Earth's the pier axis. A dynamo effect is similar to what happens with an electric generator. When the magnetic field interacts with particles from solar winds, it creates what is known as the aurora borealis near the poles. Scientists at Goethe-Universitat in Frankfurt, Germany, have discovered that a bird can see the Earth's magnetic fields through photoreceptor cells in the bird's right eye. Birds use this navigational tool to migrate north and south during the pier the autumn and spring. Before this discovery, it was believed that birds could sense the magnetic field either through their eyes or beaks. These photoreceptor cells create shades of light, which tell the birds if they are on or off course during migration. Could the Earth's Magnetic Fields Be Causing the Die-Off of Thousands of Birds? The Goethe-Universitat the pier study revealed that if birds could not see the magnetic field when migrating, they lost their "bearings" and could hurt themselves or even die. NASA reported in 2008 that there was a "massive breach" in the Earth's magnetic field, detected by THEMIS spacecraft. Solar wind can flow through this breach, causing enormous geomagnetic storms. the pier It is very possible that such a geomagnetic storm is responsible for the current deaths of thousands of birds across the planet. the pier Magnetic storms the pier can cause many different phenomena to occur. Not only do birds, such as the reported blackbirds, pelicans, penguins and eagles, lose their bearings and fall dead from exhaustion and hunger, but radio transmissions can be lost, there can be radiation from too much solar power, and high-energy charged particles can bombard the Earth due to the breach in the magnetic "shield" wrapping the planet.. Magnetic storms can also trigger changes in the Earth's the pier crust, which may lead to increases in landslides, mudslides, earthquakes, and volcano eruptions. What About the Fish Kills? Are the Fish and Bird Die-Offs Related? It may be possible that the fish and bird die-offs are unrelated. the pier Arkansas the pier Game and Fish Commission spokesman Keith Stephens believes that in the drum fish case, it could just be a disease, "since it only affected one species." He says fishkills are not unusual. However, fishkills are being reported all across the world. Panama reports at least 100 tons of several species of fish found dead all along its coast. Officials there suspect an environmental imbalance, possibly due to the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Italy claims a "massacre" of fish, clams, and crabs over Christmas, but blame nearby industries. Similar fishkills are being reported the pier in other cities. News Source: Suite101
Between 2010 December and January 2011 has been occurred all over the world mass deaths of birds, fishes and other animals. Pikku-Kettu Knits and Quilts

I've started osram cool blue intense working on a secret project lately, a present osram cool blue intense for someone who reads the blog. It's an original pattern and I will publish it, so I will post a lot about this project later. For now though, osram cool blue intense I can tell you that it will have lots of green. I started with some stash yarn and then decided that I needed more! Now my only problem is that I can not decide which one to use first! I have started a secret knitted gift for someone who reads the blog. It is my own design and will publish it, so I will write more about knitted later. For now, I can tell you that it is very green. I started with yarn I then decided that I want more green! Now the only problem is that I can not choose which one to use first! Shades of Light

Pallets have a field day in recent years, idealuce first because it is convenient. Got all eye shad

The palletes have their honor over the last years, firstly because they are handy. You have all the eye shadows in one packaging, you grab it do your makeup and out of the door. Mostly ideal for traveling too (except the Sleek Makeup palettes an eye shadow may be broken-no I'm not grumbling, a small complain). The more handy I find the small cute palettes that have three or four eye shadows for a complete eye makeup, as herein the Rimmel idealuce I purchased recently from Eyewish.gr.
The first one Rimmel London Glam Eyes Quad Eye Shadow 016 Urban Flower includes four shimmery eye shadows in shades of light green, idealuce champagne, brown and white. And when I say shimmery, imagine the velvety sheen that you can comfortably wear with your morning makeup. As for the shades? As we all known they are my favourites, through summer and winter, idealuce through thick and thin, okay expect the green one that I might never use. But with such a price is the least that concerns me.
On the other hand, Rimmel London Glam'Eyes Trio Eye Shadow 740 Fever includes three eye shadows in shades that blend together for an incredibly chic makeup in shades of purple. These shades suit fantastic on green eyes -thank you Rimmel- and have a smooth texture, excellent color performance and long lasting. It would be nice to apply an eye primer underneath for longer duration, especially if you have oily eyelids. The way I always prefer and always recommend it to friends, acquaintances, again and again .. for every company, eyeshadow and so on and so forth.
And I hark back to the packaging -these may not have a mirror but are steady- and do not tell me that are not so small and handy for any beauty case? In my own albeit small, they fit just fine and of course idealuce there will remain there ...
Pallets have a field day in recent years, idealuce first because it is convenient. Got all eye shadows idealuce in a packaging, do grab your makeup and out the door. Mostly and ideal for travel (except pallets Sleek Makeup more and some eye shadow can be dissolved -not not grumble, complain you see). Even more convenient find small graceful pallets have three or four eye shadows for a complete eye makeup, as here the Rimmel recently bought from Eyewish.gr.
The first Rimmel London Glam Eyes Quad Eye Shadow 016 Urban Flower includes four shimmery eye shadows in light green shades, champagne, brown and white. And when I say shiny, imagine the velvety sheen which may easily wear and breakfast makeup. As for the colors? Known to be one of my favorite, winter and summer, rain or shine, ok other than green can and do not ever use. But with such a value is the least worries.
On the other hand Rimmel London Glam'Eyes Trio Eye Shadow 740 Fever includes three eyeshadows in shades that blend incredibly together for a chic makeup in shades of purple. These colors match Fantastic green eyes -to sai well Rimmel- and have a soft texture, excellent color rendition and long. It would be nice to put a primer mesh bottom for even longer, especially if you have oily eyelids. The way I always prefer and always recommend it to friends, known again and again .. and every company, shade, shadow idealuce and so on.
Must return the package, -which idealuce may not have mirror but statheres- and do not tell me that is not so small and convenient for any vanity? In my own though small, they fit just fine and of course there will remain ...

This is another project that has been finished for months and another one with winter pictures too!

This is another project that has been finished for months and another one with winter pictures too! As the weather heats up here, I think if I do not post this now, I never will. I love the yarn, it's by Shades of Light, so soft and shiny. I used two skeins and did not block the shawl, it's very fluffy. The pattern is perfect for times when you only have one skein of a favorite yarn. I just made it bigger, it was very easy to modify. This was a lovely project to knit and it's a lovely shawl to wear too! Shawl with wool and silk This is another knitted I have finished for months and also is another who photographed the winter. As the weather warms, I think if you do not show it to you now, I will not ever. I love the yarn from Shades of Light, is incredibly soft and shiny. I put two dolls and not stretch lace, very fluffy shawl. The design is very good for smaller quantities of yarn for when you have a few meters from a favorite thread. I just do it bigger, easily adjustable. It was very nice as knitted and beautiful shawl! I finished this a while ago - remember when I was knitting the sleeves this fall? I

I finished this a while ago - remember when I was knitting the sleeves this fall? I'm so glad I kept knitting, this is one of the best things I've ever made. The yarn was custom dyed for me by my friend Angelika. I love the colors she uses and I had seen a sock yarn she had in these exact colors. However, I wanted the cardigan to have stripes so she dyed the yarn to have long color repeats. It's green led lights amazing. The yarn is a wool, bamboo and silk mix. It's warm and soft and just a little bit shiny from the bamboo and silk. I finished this cardigan before long - remember that I was knitting the sleeves fall? I'm green led lights so glad that I continued to knit, I think is one of the best things I knit. The thread was custom made by my friend Angelica. I love the colors and puts'd seen sometime a thread socks in those exact colors. But, like the cardigan has stripes, so I dyed thread, to have each color greatest iterations. It's incredible. green led lights The yarn is wool, bamboo and silk. It is warm and soft and shiny bit of bamboo and silk. This started out as a Featherweight, although I made many changes. Longer body. Extra long sleeves. Wider band with buttonholes and buttons. I also started out with a provisional cast on. I do not know if I prefer the stretch from having the continuous fabric at that point or if the cardigan would have benefited from the extra stability of a "seam" that a regular cast on would give. I certainly like the result here though. I used Jeny's surprisingly stretchy bind off from Knitty for the ribbing on the body and sleeves. I think this was the first time I used it, since I do not knit my socks toe up. Amazing! Have you tried this bind off technique? green led lights Do you use it for other things too, other than ribbing? It started as Featherweight, although I did a lot of changes. More long. Very long sleeves. Wider track around, with buttonholes and buttons. I looked also at the beginning points to another thread, so then when the lift, to create an invisible transition with continuous fabric. I do not know if eventually a traditional technique felling of points, green led lights with the stability that would, like "seam", if that will somehow help knit. But definitely I like here the result. For rubber, closed points green led lights on the edge with the technique "Jeny's surprisingly stretchy bind off" green led lights (excessively elastic closure Jeny) from the online magazine Knitty. I think this was the first time I used it as a technique, since they intertwine and socks from the bottom up (recommend green led lights it especially for socks, not to tighten the closure on the calf). It is incredible! Have you tried this technique? You've put anywhere else, other than rubber? I think I'd green led lights like to make another Featherweight, like the one in the pattern. green led lights Short and with shorter sleeves. It's a different style though and I'm really happy I made this one longer. For so many things, I've made short sleeves. It's worth it to keep going, even when the sleeves get boring. Do you knit short sleeves a lot too? I would like to build another green led lights Featherweight, as in the drawing. green led lights Short and short sleeves. It is another style though and I am glad that I did longest. For many things, I knit short sleeves. It continues even when the sleeves are boring. You knit many things with short sleeves? Pattern // Design: Featherweight cardigan by Hannah green led lights Fettig (Ravelry) Yarn // Thread: Shades of Light Pisa Needles // Needles: 2.75 mm (US 2) project page on Ravelry // knit me on Ravelry
Excellent work, dear !!! Beautiful yarn and great stitch definition if I may say so !!! Well done! I also admire your patience in knitting such long sleeves, I think all my knits have short sleeves green led lights or no sleeves at all, that's how lazy I am when it comes to sleeves! :) Reply Delete

I did not plan on being away from the blog for a week but I got sick last weekend and I finally feel better today. I did make some good knitting progress though; a virus combined with the coldest days of the year is perfect for sitting on the couch, under two blankets and knitting. I started a Whisper cardigan with my new orange wool from Holst and the Staggered Rib Scarf for my father. Although, what I really want to show you today is yarn. Beautiful, bright and happy yarn! I recently got some new yarn from my friend Angelika. I've posted targetti poulsen about her lovely yarn before and I really targetti poulsen love the colors she uses. The exciting news is that she opened up a shop on Etsy! Her yarn is called Shades of Light and she has lots of yummy yarn bases. My favorite is Dehli, an amazing targetti poulsen blend of wool and silk. It's soft and shiny and knits up into the most amazing fabric! The new yarn I got from Angelika targetti poulsen is in the Paris base and the colors were a custom order. This is a high twist sport weight merino yarn that feels lovely. I'm going to make a striped pullover with this yarn with wide stripes of each color. I wanted to make something happy and this yarn is perfect. I wish I could knit very very fast, because the sweater I see in my mind would be just perfect targetti poulsen to wear today! I'm also very excited to announce that Angelika will organize a giveaway here, to celebrate her new Etsy shop - I'll be announcing the details soon! I was not going to be away for a week but I got sick last weekend and now I'm finally better. I will create a striped sweater with wide stripes of each color. I wanted to make something targetti poulsen joyful and thread is perfect. I am also very excited because Angelika will contest here, to celebrate her new shop - you'll have more details soon!

Paris - superwash merino // Paris - μερίνο που μπαίνει στο πλυντήριο Alexandra : When did you start

I'm very excited to finally announce the Shades of Light giveaway I mentioned a while ago! My friend Angelika will be giving away two gorgeous skeins from her shop to two lucky winners and I'm so happy to be hosting this giveaway for her. I admire Angelika very much - she taught me how to spin and I love everything steng licht she makes. She spins, dyes, weaves and knits of course, when she has some time! As part of the giveaway, I interviewed her for the blog and I hope you enjoy reading about her yarn!
Dehli - merino and silk // Dehli - μερίνο και μετάξι Είμαι πολύ ενθουσιασμένη steng licht γιατί κάνουμε επιτέλους τον διαγωνισμό με τα νήματα Shades of Light που είχα αναφέρει πριν από λίγο καιρό!
Paris - superwash merino // Paris - μερίνο που μπαίνει στο πλυντήριο Alexandra : When did you start dyeing yarn? Angelika : I actually started dyeing yarn many years ago. When I started weaving, I soon discovered that I was not happy with the choice of available yarns and I also liked the play of colors you get with hand dyed yarns, so I decided to start dyeing. I used chemical dyes and I also experimented a lot with natural dyes. Two years ago I wanted to get back to my textile roots after being a housewife for many years and raising my son. I started weaving again and dyeing and I enjoyed it so much, that I wanted to do this beautiful work as a profession. Alexandra : How do you create your colorways? Angelika : My creative process isn't the same every time. There are colorways, that I think about for months before I start dyeing them. Others originate from photos I have seen and sometimes I just sit down with my big box of color samples and I start putting them together. But even then it takes many trials until I am content with a colorway. steng licht I cannot say exactly what makes a good colourway for me; I just get a feeling, that tells me when I got it right. Alexandra : How much does the fiber base affect the final color? Angelika : All the fibers take the color in a different steng licht way. I usually dye with very saturated dyes and these show best on all the Merino and BFL wools. The same color on a base yarn with silk or alpaca will be more subdued, more like a pastel shade. A short while ago I dyed some cashmere for the first time and it seems to me, that cashmere makes the contrast in the colors harsher. But I think I have to make more trials to be sure of this. Alexandra : What fiber bases do you enjoy working with? Angelika : I like all natural yarns, but my favorites are silk and a high twist merino and alpaca. The silk gives the yarn such a beautiful sheen, I just love it.The alpaca dyes in these lovely subdued colors, which I like a lot, but somehow I find them very hard to dye.
Fingering sock yarn // Λεπτό νήμα για κάλτσες Alexandra : What yarn do you have in your Etsy shop? Angelika : First of all, I have a nice sock yarn - 75% superwash wool and 25% nylon. It comes in a thinner and a thicker version; both are ideal for socks which will be worn in shoes. They are maybe not as soft as some other yarns, but they are very sturdy. Of course, you can use them for other projects as well. Paris is a 100% Superwash merino, which can be used in socks as well, one skein is enough for a pair of socks up to size 42. It is not as strong as my other sock yarn, but you can use it for socks worn around the house and for lots of other projects, like scarves, steng licht jumpers and hats. It is soft and squishy and even someone with sensitive skin will have no problem with it. Lima is made of 100% Alpaca. It is thicker than the sock yarns and very soft, anything worn on the skin can be made with it. I made a nice warm hat for myself with it. Pisa has wool, silk and bamboo, so if you don't like nylon, this is a great substitute for the sock yarn. The Dehli base is my favorite, it has merino and silk and it's so soft and absolutely great to knit with. It has a very fine stitch steng licht definition and a beautiful sheen. If you want to knit something luxurious, this is the yarn for you. Alexandra : Are you working steng licht on anything new? What would you like to do in the future? Angelika : I've just started working on mini skeins, because I want to enable my customers to create their own colorways. They are all on the thin sock yarn base and I will be offering 30 gr and 100 gr skeins. There will be a wide range of colors, at the moment I have 40 different colors planned. A bit later in the Spring, I will try dyeing some self striping yarns with no repeats over a 50g skein. But I still have to work out the technical side of it and I'm looking forward to the challenge!
