Arriving home after trip to Retezat of October, I was quite disappointed with the quality of the photos that had failed ambient lighting to capture any part of Vue 10 we had done me and Mircea amazed just looking at them. Unfortunately in 2012 still have to work with primitive tools do not even approach the visual performance of the human eye and brain, ambient lighting especially in terms of: dynamic range, contrast color (not light), details of texture, balance different ambient lighting color on different areas of brightness, zero noise (and others related to the optical distortion ambient lighting and clarity genre when atmospheric vapor). Superior performance in the areas of human vision give an image so beautiful compared to equipment now that we have to capture the beauty of nature.
I usually use basic software that comes with the camera Canon to develop after they put the image in Photoshop for more complex settings that try to cut some of the flaws of these devices. But for this time several shots were made under conditions of strong contrasts between light and color, and the mist / vapor atmospheric reduced the contrast of the image, I decided to test complex software developer, hoping I would get something special and will save time.
================================================== EXAMPLE 1 ================================================ the course == I was very curious how other converters out was my favorite picture that I managed to accomplish in this photo session:
Because ambient lighting not everyone believes workmanship ethics ambient lighting code, I decided to show both. In this publication ambient lighting we added four points brush, in which I tried to solve some of the problems of image. a) Top left on Birch branches ambient lighting grew darker exposure b) Down the left field I dropped the color saturation in the field c) Down the right field have increased saturation in the field d) On Birch in the middle of the image I made a Hue yellow on blue branches
Lightroom is a software dedicated for promoting the development and management of RAW files. I was amazed at what this software can extract the developer of RAW files. Unfortunately Lightroom 3 has a BIG, BIG PROBLEM: You can not change the color space that you preview the image. ambient lighting First I thought I do not know to find the setting. I started to look in google and surprise: http://www.pixiq.com/article/lightrooms-srgb-conundrum
I am very picky in terms of shades of color (Color Balance) and was damn hard to get color of the sky as I want a software that does not let you preview in sRGB color space. I had to give about 10 exports TIF, then to open the image, and based on this export parameters I set in Lightroom HSL (Hue on the colors aqua and blue) / Recovery / Vibrance (4 sliders) until I removed the color of the sky as I like (ie more to the blue-> mangenta not blue> cyan). This operation would take in Photoshop ambient lighting a 30secunde (a Selective Color Layer Ajustments and worked on the colors Cyan and Blue) here in Lightroom took me five minutes to adjust the color of the sky.
It's amazing how close Lightroom removed my image. ACR has the same sliders that recovery has LR3.6, ambient lighting and have the same effect. It's about all the important stuff that has LR, including gradual and editing zonal filter with the brush. There are no great disadvantage because LR3.6 preview image in the sRGB color space. Almost comes to say that it is a better software than LR, if it were not some problems. For example, the crop tool has aspect ratio settings (seems to have see the comments of the article), and the biggest disadvantage compared to LR3.6 is that you can not stop or turn a certain effect or setting, that can not See how it looks before and after picture setting. Also consume CPU resources and memory than LR after 20 minutes my mouse began to move in a replay 3GHz Intel Core Duo and 4GB RAM (which I find unacceptable). TIF export ambient lighting gave me error that does not have enough memory available ambient lighting although it was started only about 5 Chrome browser tabs. I had to close all software except ACR started to stop early lack of memory error.
Although the paper boasted a better recovery image than Lightroom 3 (has a plus slider http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZPWWcSYjvc), plus additional controls in geometric correction of the image ... but nothing. To my surprise in Lightroom 4.2 I managed to pull a picture as beautiful as in Lightroom 3.6, although we all pulled about 15 minutes stubbornly sliders. Some of the branches of the birch trees remained too dark. Uneo
