Intel has just announced the launch of its new desktop processor for the quad-core Core i7-2700K, just two weeks after rival Advanced Micro Devices decided to launch its family-based architecture Bulldozer FX processors.
Core i7-2700K is presented as the fastest fbay Intel chip. It belongs to the family of Sandy Bridge processors, which began appearing in January and reaches a speed of 3.5 GHz. This may increase to 3.9 GHz if the Intel Turbo Boost technology is used.
